One of the reasons I was drawn into becoming a celebrant, was the number of times I heard couples say, “We don’t know when we will get married, we can’t afford to just now.” So what is it you can’t afford and how important is that element to you actually getting married?
There are loads of options that you could explore to ensure you have a very special, personal and ‘you’ wedding, but that fits in the budget that you have. From where, I sit, the only ‘not negotiable fee’ is the license fee – beyond that, well, it is up to you and what makes it work for you. You do need to either get married in a registry office or have a registered celebrant/minister officiate the wedding. There is generally a cost associated with this but a wide range in how much this will be.
From time to time, I will explore some different options through this blog. It is a whole lot more fun talking directly with you about setting up your wedding or other celebration as then we see the structure start to come together and add the personal touches to make the event ‘yours’.
