My heartfelt love to couples who have needed to postpone their planned wedding due to being level 4. These circumstance are out of your control but it is hard, especially for those who are not already living together and it really was going to be ‘a new beginning’ for them in their relationship. Blessings to you and thank you for doing your part in this lockdown level 4 here in New Zealand.
Working at the various Covid-19 Alert Levels
Registry Ceremonies are restricted to 20 people or less ordinarily (10 or less at my home). Therefore, registry weddings can go ahead under levels 1, 2 or 3 (max of 10 people anywhere for level 3). For personalised ceremonies, check number restrictions as these sometimes vary but usually 10 at L3, 100 at L2, 500 at L1.
At level 4, no marriages can take place (exceptional circumstances may apply).
At all times the following must be observed:
-
Physical distancing and infection prevention and control requirements appropriate to the alert level must be met.
-
At alert level 2 or 3, all gatherings must record attendees to ensure contact tracing can be conducted if necessary.
-
At all levels, no participants allowed who have flu, cold or COVID-19 symptoms or who need to be in isolation/quarantine for any reason.
