Every wedding holds it’s own speciality and every couple I have had the privilege of marrying, etches a treasured memory as I gain a small glimpse of their journey together. JoJo & Nico are no exception.
These two beamed every time we met as we bought their ceremony together. On the day, they just shone from start to finish! Guests enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at Viligrad Winery, Ohaupo. A truly magical setting with Shawn ensuring every last detail was attended too.
This young couple kept their ceremony fairly simple but did include a Candle Ceremony which their Mum’s, Margaret & Kate were involved with. Each Mum lit individual candles which they then passed to their child, representing the influences, particularly of family & friends that have already shaped Nico & JoJo. The couple then bought the candles over to the Unity Candle, their individual ‘spark’ they each bring to their marriage. Together they lit the larger candle – the two of them committing to journey together.
The date of their marriage marked their 5th anniversary of being together and is the next step in their journey – the beginning of a new chapter and continuing with overseas travel.
